Mr East gained his primary medical qualification at Charing Cross Hospital Medical School in 1980. Following this, he achieved fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and trained at Oxford University College Hospital. During his training, he was awarded the Hallett Prize and completed a research fellowship at the University of Washington Seattle, where he studied facial plastic surgery for one year.
Since qualifying, Mr East has developed a keen interest in nasal and facial plastic surgery, as well as endoscopic minimally invasive sinus and skull base surgery. His expertise and dedication to the field have led to his appointment as the UK Vice-President of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and the Chairman of Facial Plastic Surgery UK.
